Job summary

Graphcore, based in Bristol, is a world-leading AI compute company. We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager - NPI to own demand forecasting, material planning, and scope across lab equipment and prototype parts.

You will collaborate with Engineering, R&D and Operations, drive material readiness, manage supplier commitments, and support New Product Introductions. The role requires senior-level supply chain experience in high-tech environments and strong data analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supply chain management, preferably in high-tech.
• Experience supporting Engineering, R&D, lab operations, prototype builds or NPI.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management.
• Proficiency in Excel (including VBA), data modeling, automation, and ERP systems.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Superset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts and material plans for lab equipment, engineering components, prototype parts, and consumables.
• Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams to guarantee the smooth implementation of supply chain processes.
• Partner with Procurement to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of critical materials and components.
• Monitor material readiness, inventory levels, and supplier commitments to prevent disruptions in engineering projects and lab operations.
• Analyse material shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks; implement mitigation plans to prevent schedule impacts.
• Translate project roadmaps, build schedules, and engineering change activities into actionable material plans.
• Perform scenario analysis to determine the impact of supplier lead times, material constraints, demand fluctuations, and schedule changes.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering builds, and prototype development by ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment.

About the job

Plan the materials that keep Graphcore’s engineering builds moving from idea to prototype.

As Supply Chain Planning Manager - NPI, you will turn project roadmaps into practical material plans. You will support lab equipment, engineering components, prototype parts and consumables in Bristol.

Your work will help Engineering, R&D and Operations avoid delays during critical build phases. You will spot shortages, supply risks and inventory issues before they affect schedules.

You will work with Procurement to secure materials and track supplier commitments. You will also use data, scenarios and planning insight to support NPI and prototype development.

This role suits someone who brings structure to ambiguity and keeps complex hardware programmes moving.

The team and culture

You will work closely with Engineering, R&D, Operations and Procurement. Work happens through shared planning, clear reporting and practical decisions based on material readiness.

What we're looking for

• Over five years of supply chain experience, preferably within the high-tech industry.
• Proven experience supporting Engineering, R&D, lab operations, prototype builds or NPI programmes.
• Solid understanding of supply chain planning, demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VBA, data modelling, automation and ERP systems.
• Hardware product-related sourcing experience is strictly required.
