Job summary

Adjacency Recruitment Limited is seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to own major UK retail accounts across Grocery Multiples and Convenience channels. You will drive distribution, listings, and category growth, turning brand ambition into shelf space and consumer sales.

With 3+ years in UK FMCG NAM, you will manage multi-million-pound P&L, negotiate terms, and use data to win shopper-led pitches in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of National Account Management experience in the UK FMCG sector, specifically Grocery or Convenience.
• Strong commercial acumen: build a P&L, negotiate trading terms, drive brand value.
• Strong data skills (using Excel and retailer data portals) to build shopper-led pitches.
• Drive-it-and-own-it mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Account Ownership: Manage a multi-million-pound P&L across 2 key Grocery Multiples and a number of larger Convenience groups.
• Joint Business Planning: Create and execute strategic, win-win business plans with retail buyers.
• Drive Sales: Maximise product distribution, rate of sale, and promotional ROI.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Category, and Supply Chain teams to deliver on brand goals.
