Job summary

SES Engineering Services is recruiting a Project Buyer in London to support procurement across the project lifecycle, collaborating with pre-construction, commercial and operations teams to develop procurement strategies that deliver best value and manage risk.

You will focus on procuring materials, equipment and supply chain solutions within budget and to project quality/specifications, with occasional travel to project and regional offices.

Qualifications

• Experience of procurement within the construction, engineering or M&E sectors.
• Understanding of project procurement processes and commercial drivers.
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to influence decisions and manage multiple procurement packages in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proactive approach to supplier relationship management and value opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver best value, manage risk and support project outcomes.
• Support early engagement of suppliers during bid and pre-construction phases.
• Procure materials, equipment and supply chain solutions within budget and in line with project specs.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial, operational and project teams.
• Travel to project and regional offices as required.
