Job summary

Oxford Instruments Plc, a global science-led innovator, is seeking a Management Accountant for the Materials Analysis business. You will drive high-quality financial reporting, analysis and business partnering to support operational performance across an international manufacturing environment.

You’ll partner with Finance and Operations teams, translate financial data into actionable insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, including digital technologies.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or production environment.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing and product costing methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial analysis.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets.
• Analyse inventory, margins, labour recoveries and cost performance.
• Support transfer pricing calculations and monthly foreign exchange (FX) reporting.
• Deliver monthly R&D labour recovery reporting and forecasting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and order book planning processes.
• Participate in quarterly balance sheet reviews and Group reporting activities.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting and systems, including the use of AI and digital technologies.
