Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a Management Accountant in Manchester on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, and a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.

You'll own month-end close, monthly reporting, budgeting and variance analysis, providing insights to budget holders and senior stakeholders to support informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a management accounting role with full month-end close ownership.
• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Confident in preparing management accounts and analysing financial data.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes.
• Producing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Investigating financial variances and providing meaningful commentary.
• Working closely with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders.
• Providing financial insight to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Monitoring costs, revenue and overall business performance.
• Assisting with cash flow reporting and financial planning.
• Improving financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
