Job summary

Doocey Group invites applications for a Management Accountant (FTC) based at The Old Stables, Tipton. You will report to the Group Financial Controller and provide timely management information to support strategic decisions across the business.

The role requires strong UK accounting skills, proficiency in SAGE and Excel, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a fast‑paced SME environment with senior stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in management accounting within an SME environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and practices.
• Proficiency in SAGE and Excel for financial analysis.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented with the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting month-end journals.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end accounts preparation and reporting.
• Identify variances and analyse cost trends for management insight.
• Complete VAT returns within deadlines and ensure compliance.
• Manage prepayments and accruals; align with finance SLAs.
• Reconcile costing reports for accuracy; validate subcontractor payments.
• Support purchase and sales ledger tasks and ad-hoc data analysis.
