Job summary

BMC Appointments Ltd is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant for a growing, commercially focused business in Teess Valley, UK. The role covers management accounts, financial reporting, working capital, forecasting and business partnering.

You will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA or finalist status, strong management accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills to support budgeting and profitability analysis. Collaboration with stakeholders across the business is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or finalist status.
• Experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis.
• Own monthly group reporting and consolidation requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Assist budgeting, forecasts, and engage with budget holders.
• Coordinate AP processes, control costs, and identify profitability improvements.
• Produce short-term cash flow forecasts and support working capital management.
• Assist with statutory audits and preparation of statutory accounts.
