Job summary

Vianet Group plc is seeking a Management Accountant to deliver accurate management information and insightful analysis across designated business areas. You will own P&L and balance sheet, prepare monthly accounts with commentary, and support budgets, forecasts and reforecasts.

Working closely with stakeholders, you will challenge assumptions, monitor KPIs, and ensure robust controls. Strong Excel skills and Sage 200 experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent UK management accounting experience, including ownership of a full monthly reporting cycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for designated business unit(s).
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, meaningful commentary and variance analysis in line with the reporting timetable.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts for assigned business areas, challenging assumptions where appropriate.
• Partner with budget holders and commercial/operational teams to improve understanding of financial performance and support effective decisions.
• Analyse revenue, gross margin, operating costs, and relevant financial and operational KPIs.
• Maintain robust balance sheet controls and reconciliations, investigating and resolving issues promptly.
• Support the Senior Management Accountant with half-year and year-end reporting and audit requirements.
• Review pricing proposals, customer contracts and commercial opportunities, highlighting financial implications and escalating significant risks.
• Work closely with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control to maintain ledger integrity and resolve supplier, customer and transaction queries.
• Develop and improve finance processes, controls, reporting and documentation.
