Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Finance Business Partner for the Faculty of Humanities on a 16-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role focuses on delivering accurate monthly management accounts, robust financial analysis, and proactive business partnering with budget holders and senior academic colleagues.

You will coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, drive financial control, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Finance Team.

Responsibilities

• Managing the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Delivering and communicating clear financial analysis and management information to budget holders and senior colleagues.
• Coordinating financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the assigned areas within business partnering areas.
• Partnering with budget holders and School colleagues to improve financial awareness and support effective decision-making.
• Identifying and communicating financial risks, opportunities and the implications of proposed initiatives.
