Job summary

Forterra Building Products Ltd. is seeking an Engineering Planner for the Kings Dyke plant to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, plan detailed job plans, manage resources and ensure availability of RAMS, permits and materials.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and work a Monday–Friday day shift, driving maintenance planning across internal and external labour to support safe, efficient operations and alignment with performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, with an electrical bias preferred.
• Experience with CMMS development and implementation preferred.
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Fixed Wire Testing, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage priorities, resources, and maintenance schedules effectively.
• Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• Manage Kings Dyke Engineering Planning requirements as a primary role.
• To implement and manage a Maintenance Planning system within Kings Dyke.
• To evaluate and implement a MWO system, to control, run and produce downtime, criticality, reliability and productivity data for presentation.
• Utilise the site OEE system (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to facilitate the above.
• To Liaise with contractors, manage and set up SLA contracts
• To liaise with production and maintenance teams in all aspects of planning PPM, MWO and compliance requirements.
• To Plan and schedule within Site budgets and have shared responsibility and control S&R budgets.
• Ensure that PPE issued, is kept and maintained in good condition
• Other duties as delegated by management
