Job summary

Butler Rose seeks an experienced Head of Supply Chain & Procurement to lead end-to-end supply chain in a complex engineering environment. You will own procurement, contracts, logistics, inventory, and supplier performance, driving governance and commercial excellence.

Reporting to the Business Services Director, you’ll shape strategy, build high‑performing teams, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver long‑term goals with robust risk controls and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership across procurement, contracting, logistics, and inventory management.
• Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain governance and risk management.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic change.
• Knowledge of regulatory and commercial frameworks within technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the overall supply chain and procurement strategy.
• Lead teams across procurement, commercial contracts, logistics, and inventory.
• Develop short and long-term plans aligned with wider business goals.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle with governance and commercial control.
• Monitor contract performance, spend, milestones and delivery outcomes.
• Lead supplier onboarding and KPI-led performance reviews.
• Maintain supply chain risk controls and address emerging issues.
• Lead internal and external audit activity and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Partner with business leaders to align supply chain priorities with operations.
