Job summary
Butler Rose Ltd is exclusively representing a leading manufacturing organisation seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager. You will own key categories, build strategic supplier relationships and drive commercial negotiations to deliver measurable improvements in a busy manufacturing environment.
You will report to the Head of Procurement & Supply-chain and collaborate with stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Sales.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within manufacturing or similarly complex operations.
- Strong experience across strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiation.
- Proven track record delivering cost savings and commercial improvements.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and supplier performance management.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in procurement data and KPI reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage key supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations.
- Drive supplier consolidation and cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead RFQ, RFP and tender processes and establish fixed-term pricing agreements.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks.
