Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal Urban Drainage Modeller to lead complex UK urban drainage and wastewater projects from Cardiff and across multiple UK locations. You will provide senior technical leadership, governance, and strategic direction across programmes, influencing investment decisions and shaping the growth of the modelling capability.

You will apply InfoWorks ICM and hydraulic modelling expertise, mentor teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to bids and business

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering or related field.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards.
Significant experience leading urban drainage, wastewater or hydraulic modelling projects and programmes.
Expert knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and hydraulic modelling of wastewater networks.
Proven track record of technical leadership, governance and assurance across multidisciplinary projects.
Strong experience mentoring and developing technical teams.
Excellent client and stakeholder management with ability to influence senior decision-makers.
Experience contributing to project or programme management, commercial delivery, bids and business development.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical leadership across complex urban drainage and wastewater modelling programmes.
Lead studies covering wastewater networks, storm overflows, flooding, water quality and pollution management.
Apply InfoWorks ICM and hydraulic modelling techniques to develop robust, innovative solutions.
Provide governance and assurance of modelling approaches and deliverables.
Act as a trusted technical adviser to clients and influence investments.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop digital solutions and modelling tools.
Lead project delivery including planning, resourcing, programming and cost estimates.
Support bids, frameworks and business development for the UDM portfolio.
Lead, mentor and develop modelling teams to grow technical capability.
