Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal Urban Drainage Modeller to lead technical direction across UK projects, including major urban drainage and wastewater modelling programmes. You will influence strategy, ensure technical excellence, and build client relationships while expanding our presence in the urban drainage market.

You will mentor teams, oversee planning and delivery, and contribute to bids and business development.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or Geography.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or working towards.
Extensive experience delivering urban drainage and wastewater modelling programmes.
Expert knowledge of wastewater modelling and InfoWorks ICM (or equivalent).
Experience leading technical teams and providing assurance.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical leadership across major urban drainage and wastewater modelling programmes.
Set technical direction and assure complex modelling studies and outputs.
Lead development and adoption of innovative modelling techniques and data-driven solutions.
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and contribute to strategic discussions.
Oversee project delivery including planning, resourcing, and commercial delivery.
Mentor and develop modelling teams and future leaders.
Contribute to bids, framework opportunities and business growth.
Champion technical best practice within the UDM community.
