Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council seeks an experienced leader to manage the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Adults Board, driving improvement, learning and accountability across partners from local government, health, police and the voluntary sector.

You will lead the Board's business programme, support the Independent Chair and ensure safeguarding arrangements are effective and ambitious, with a focus on people at risk.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree-level qualification is essential.
• Experience in safeguarding, social care, health, governance or a related field would be highly valued.
• Transferable leadership, partnership and improvement experience is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of the Safeguarding Adults Board's work programme.
• Support the Independent Chair and provide expert safeguarding advice to senior partners.
• Coordinate multi-agency audits, performance reporting and quality assurance activity.
• Oversee Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs) and ensure learning leads to improvement.
• Build strong partnerships across agencies and sectors.
• Manage the Board's budget, communications and business support staff.
• Ensure voices of people with lived experience influence safeguarding priorities.
• Turn learning and insight into action.
