Job summary

HEART Academies Trust in Bedford is seeking a Lead Teacher and Practitioner for Business to drive strategic vision, teaching standards and student achievement across GCSE and BTEC. You will lead the Business department, collaborate with peers, and promote high-quality learning across all Key Stages.

You will develop partnerships with other Bedford schools and support staff development while maintaining strong outcomes and inclusive practice for all students.

Qualifications

• Degree and QTS with relevant professional development.
• Successful teaching across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Ability to be consistently outstanding and accountable for outcomes.
• Experience contributing to school initiatives that improve learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher and Practitioner for all Business courses (GCSE, BTEC).
• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Business department across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Develop partnerships with Business Leads from other Bedford Schools to raise provision.
• Ensure Business results stay above national averages for BA students.
