Job summary

Taylor Wimpey is seeking a skilled land acquisition professional to manage current assets through to delivery, coordinating land approvals and establishing technical constraints for successful development. You will negotiate contracts for the Land Director and monitor market activity to identify opportunities.

The role requires a relevant degree, RICS accreditation, and a proven track record in in-house land acquisition within housebuilding. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or transferable skills demonstrated.
• Full driving licence required.
• Knowledge of planning policy and process is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong network of relationships within the geographical area to monitor land and market activity.
• Undertake speculative saturation surveys to identify off-market opportunities.
• Acquire suitable land on favourable terms to meet business strategy.
• Collate detailed information to assess viability of development opportunities.
• Prepare land value appraisals and negotiate terms for Land & Planning Director.
• Input into planning applications when needed to ensure delivery.
• Monitor land market activity and respond to opportunities.
• Maintain land and site data systems and share information with the business.
• Disposal of affordable housing on favourable terms; manage incidental land as required.
