Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority's Commercial team seeks a procurement leader to drive major IT procurements within the UK's fusion energy programme. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure compliant, value-for-money outcomes aligned with project milestones.

Onsite three days a week, with flexible working where possible, you will shape procurement strategies, manage tender processes, and mentor the Commercial team to deliver high-quality results for UKAEA.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in public sector procurement.
• Strong knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead complex, high‑value procurements from strategy to contract award.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IT procurements and end-to-end commercial support for major projects.
• Ensure procurement activity aligns with project milestones and the Procurement Act 2023.
• Develop procurement strategies delivering value for money and objectives.
• Manage tendering processes including pre-qualification, evaluation, and award.
• Provide expert commercial advice to senior stakeholders and monitor performance.
