Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Material Buyer to join the IT Materials Management team. You will focus on supplier readiness, roadmaps, vendor relationships, PO issuance and management, order tracking, and risk mitigation.

You will work with PMO, RAD, SC Planning and other internal teams to support site launches and ongoing operations. Responsibilities include managing requisitions and POs in DSCS, driving process improvements, and acting as SME for IT equipment categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in procurement/purchasing analyst or related operational role within procurement.
• Experience in supply chain and program or project management.
• Strong English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders in DSCS.
• Manage all aspects of purchasing from PR issuance to material receipt and payment support.
• Develop processes and metrics for monitoring open order reports and risk mitigation.
• Communicate forecasts to suppliers for sustaining and new products.
• Serve as supply chain SME for IT equipment categories and manage related procurement and risk.
• Collaborate with product management to ensure data hygiene across systems.
• Engage with suppliers to support inventory readiness and component changes.
• Support site launches and address operational challenges with internal teams.
• Conduct audits on ordering, receiving, invoicing and accounts payable for accuracy.
• Develop KPIs on invoicing, on-time delivery and unreserved orders to drive improvements.
• Perform spend analyses and present business cases for cost savings.
• Work with Demand Planning on purchasing plans and inventory decisions.
• Drive continuous improvements through root-cause analysis of failures.
• Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with AI to automate repetitive manual tasks.
