Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited seeks a Group IT & Systems Control Manager to oversee IT across a growing care group. Based in Leicestershire with monthly site visits, offering £50,000–£60,000 plus benefits.

This is not a helpdesk role; you will act as the intelligent client to an outsourced provider, tightening access and cyber controls as IT use expands across homes. You will shape future IT strategy, drive AI-enabled improvements, and ensure governance, licensing, and cost control across

Qualifications

• Experience managing outsourced IT suppliers and holding them to SLAs.
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge, including administration and user access governance.
• Experience with finance systems and understanding segregation of duties.
• Ability to interpret vulnerability reports and drive cyber remediation.
• Commercial awareness to challenge suppliers and identify cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced IT provider against SLAs and challenge tickets.
• Own user access and systems control across Microsoft 365 and VoIP systems, including 2FA.
• Administer core platforms and manage licensing and SaaS spend for cost savings.
• Perform structured monthly IT health checks at each site, covering connectivity and infrastructure.
• Lead cyber risk and resilience activities and drive remediation through the provider.
• Oversee IT governance and compliance and explain IT to non-technical staff.
