Job summary

Sharp Consultancy seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a long-term interim basis with an immediate start. The role reports to the Financial Controller and CFO and focuses on delivering robust financial accounting processes.

Fully qualified ACCA/ACA professionals with a proven track record in fast-paced environments will manage cash flow, VAT, Intrastat, month-end journals and year-end accounts while mentoring junior staff and driving improvements across the

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).
Experience in financial accounting within a fast-paced environment.
Able to start immediately and perform in interim assignments.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Maintain weekly site and consolidated cash flow forecasts and partner with FC/CFO.
Provide technical accounting guidance across the business.
Oversee day-to-day management of HIF accounts.
Prepare and post month-end journals; complete quarterly VAT returns.
Manage monthly Intrastat submissions.
Coordinate national statistics reporting requirements.
Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
Support ad hoc financial reporting requests.
Mentor and develop junior members of the finance team.
Build strong working relationships across the wider business.
