Job summary

The National Crime Agency’s TRACER OTAC team is seeking an analytical professional to deliver strategic assessments informing national decision-making and strengthening law enforcement capabilities against serious and organised crime.

This role aligns with the Government Intelligence Analysis Professional Development Framework and supports candidates to work towards IPP Intelligence Analyst certification within two years of appointment, with cross-agency collaboration across LEA, UKIC, academia

Qualifications

• Experience of conducting research and analysis.
• Experience of communicating with stakeholders, through both written and verbal communication.
• Experience of producing high-quality reports at pace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and gather intelligence, data and information from multiple sources. Evaluate and assess the reliability and suitability of each source.
• Conduct analysis to support law enforcement objectives using appropriate tools, techniques and systems.
• Identify intelligence gaps, patterns, relationships, trends, threats and opportunities to make inferences and develop recommendations.
• Produce and present analytical outputs to inform tactical or strategic decision-making.
• Deliver briefings and presentations, making recommendations to support the decision making and risk management process.
• Ensure secure handling and dissemination of material in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
• Maintain awareness of developments and good practice in analysis.
