Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a Strategy Manager to join the in-house Strategy Team. You will support leaders to set long-term direction, work on Board-level priorities, and deliver actionable recommendations through clear thinking, robust analysis, and structured problem-solving.

You will shape decisions across fundraising, science, retail and organisational design, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with CRUK’s mission to beat cancer.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong foundation in business strategy or a related field.
• Experience delivering strategy projects with proven impact on complex, organisational-level decisions.
• Motivated by our mission, with interest in relevant sectors such as not-for-profit, fundraising, healthcare or life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategy projects or workstreams within larger programmes, from scoping through to recommendations and handover.
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear questions, hypotheses and structured approaches.
• Develop and assess strategic options with evidence-based recommendations for decision-making.
• Navigate multiple senior stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for CRUK.
• Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis using internal data and external insight.
