Sofina Foods is seeking an experienced Ingredients Buyer to source and manage food ingredients across multiple sites in the UK. You will secure supply, drive commercial value and support development of high-quality products.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Technical, Quality, Operations and NPD teams to ensure compliance, cost control and supplier performance while navigating regulatory requirements in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Experience sourcing and managing food ingredients.
• Understanding of ingredient supply chains and supplier management.
• Ability to work with regulatory requirements.
• Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
• Excellent organisation and multi-project management.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Proficient in ERP/Planning systems and Excel.
• Collaborative with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Responsabilités

• Manage purchasing and sourcing across food ingredient categories.
• Build strong supplier relationships to secure supply and competitiveness.
• Support sourcing projects, tenders, benchmarking and cost-saving.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, service, compliance.
• Work with Technical and Quality to meet specs and regulatory needs.
• Analyze market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support contract management and supplier negotiations.
• Maintain procurement data in business systems.
• Deliver spend analysis and procurement insights.
• Contribute to procurement efficiency improvements.
