Job summary

Bramwith Consulting in Reading is seeking a Category Manager - Indirect Procurement to join our major UK organisation client on a hybrid basis (Reading, 2 days per week). This role offers £55,000 - £60,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive package.

You'll take ownership of end-to-end procurement across indirect categories, develop and execute category strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and work closely with senior stakeholders to unlock commercial opportunities and drive strategic value.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle across indirect categories.
• Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, driven and intellectually curious individual who enjoys learning new categories and taking on challenges.
• The confidence to take ownership, challenge existing processes and bring fresh ideas.
• Ambition to develop into a well-rounded, strategic procurement professional.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing across indirect categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies, identifying savings, efficiencies and commercial opportunities.
• Lead supplier negotiations, tendering processes and supplier relationship management.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across different business functions.
• Gain exposure to new procurement categories, major projects and a rapidly evolving procurement environment.
