Job summary

Teledyne CML Composites, based in Bromborough, seeks an Indirect Buyer to source and manage procurement for indirect goods and services across facilities, tooling, IT, MRO and engineering support. You will negotiate contracts, raise purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and drive cost reduction with internal stakeholders.

The role focuses on value delivery, risk management and supplier onboarding, ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Essential experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing/technical environment.
• Experience managing indirect spend categories and supplier relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness with proven negotiation skills.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.
• CIPS qualification or studying towards a professional procurement qualification.
• Desirable aerospace/defence/composites sector exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across indirect spend: facilities, MRO, IT, tooling, logistics, and services.
• Source new suppliers and develop strategies to optimise cost, quality, service and delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms; raise and manage purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure SLAs are met.
• Support projects, risk mitigation, and supplier onboarding with cross‑functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and supplier consolidation.
