Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom seeks a dedicated HR People Partner to join our HR Directorate. You will provide expert advice on employee relations, policy development and project work, managing a varied caseload and delivering a proactive, compliant service across the university.

You’ll work with leaders to drive people strategies, develop HR processes, and support change programmes to enhance the employee experience across our global community.

Qualifications

• Educated to first degree level OR equivalent practical experience.
• Associate member of CIPD OR equivalent professional membership OR relevant experience.
• Proven experience as an HR practitioner delivering people solutions.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and HR governance.
• Experience managing varied employee relations caseload.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills.
• Experience working with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills in a pressured environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide leaders with advice on employee relations cases.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and university policies.
• Identify issues early and implement preventative interventions.
• Coach managers to develop confidence in managing people matters.
• Support Strategic People Partner across client groups.
• Build relationships with Trade Union representatives.
• Collaborate across HR to deliver joined-up HR service.
• Develop and review HR policies and guidance including Equality and Privacy Impact Assessments.
• Lead people workstreams within strategic change programmes.
