Job summary

Maldon District Council is seeking an experienced CIPD chartered HR professional to lead the HR Business Advisor service and drive delivery of people priorities. You will guide managers and senior leaders on employee relations, organisational change and workforce planning, while managing a small team and your own complex caseload.

You will attend the office at least two days per week to provide in-person support, team leadership, and strategic HR partnership across the council.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced CIPD chartered HR professional with Level 7 qualification.
• Strong track record in strategic HR practice within local government or public sector.
• Knowledge of employment law, HR best practice and organisational operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR Business Advisory team and manage complex casework.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, organisational change and workforce planning.
• Support managers and senior leaders on complex workforce matters with own casework.
• Oversee HR advice consistency, risk balancing and service improvement initiatives.
