Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment partners with a growing food manufacturing business in Hertfordshire to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner. This is a broad, hands-on role supporting managers and senior stakeholders across the site, owning key people projects and the day-to-day people agenda.

You’ll lead recruitment, manage employee relations, drive organisational change, and develop talent while delivering engaging HR projects, wellbeing, and EDI initiatives to shape a high-performing

Qualifications

• Strong HR generalist background with experience operating at HRBP level or similar.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
• Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases.
• Confidence working with and influencing managers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting recruitment, performance management and organisational change.
• Good HR systems and data capability.
• Ability to work at pace within a busy, operational environment.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and coaching to managers across employee relations, absence, performance and wider people matters.
• Managing complex ER cases and ensuring managers are confident and consistent in their approach.
• Leading and supporting organisational change, including restructures and redundancy processes.
• Taking ownership of recruitment activity across the site, from attraction through to onboarding.
• Working with leaders on performance reviews, succession planning and talent development.
• Delivering HR projects designed to improve the employee experience and ways of working.
• Supporting engagement, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Using HR data and systems to identify trends and help inform people decisions.
• Building strong relationships across the business and acting as a trusted HR partner to managers and senior stakeholders.
