Job summary

New City College is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to provide a proactive, solutions-focused HR service across curriculum and professional services. You will work with senior leaders to support workforce planning, employee relations and organisational development, ensuring compliance with legislation and college policies while building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Experience as HR Business Partner or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
• Lead casework, hearings, consultations and appeals with legally compliant outcomes.
• Partner with managers to support workforce planning and organisational development.
• Analyse HR data and workforce trends to inform decisions and reports.
• Develop and review HR policies and maintain HR systems and records.
• Collaborate with payroll, unions, legal advisers and external agencies.
