Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Strategy and Policy Officer to progress development, implementation, monitoring and review of housing policies, strategies and plans at a local and national level. The role requires strong knowledge of the social housing sector and housing legislation, with experience in policy analysis and reporting.

You will build relationships with senior managers, partner organisations and customers, manage a varied workload and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight

Qualifications

• Experience in policy analysis and reporting within housing or related sectors.
• Ability to analyse complex housing policies and present findings clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking effective research, analysis and evaluation of housing policies and strategies, identifying key implications and opportunities for the Resource at a local and national level.
• Preparing high-quality written reports, briefing papers and other strategic and procedural documentation across a range of housing, property and homelessness service areas.
• Developing appropriate responses on behalf of the Resource and the Council
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers, elected members, partner organisations and customers.
