Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking a Strategic Housing Officer to join the Strategic Housing team and help develop the evidence, policies and partnerships that support better housing outcomes across the city.

The role requires turning complex housing information into clear advice and practical action, working with Council services and external partners to shape housing strategies, research, market intelligence and service improvement. It is a full-time role with flexible working opportunities.

Qualifications

• Develop and review housing strategies, policies and evidence to support decision-making.
• Research and analyse housing issues, legislation, policy and market trends, producing clear briefings and recommendations.
• Lead defined projects and work areas, managing priorities, deadlines and performance information.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and consultation material for a range of audiences.
