Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited, part of the JV between Taylor Woodrow and Aureos, seeks a Head of Procurement to lead strategy and optimize procurement for the HS2 Washwood Heath project. You will drive supplier performance, manage a procurement team, and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.

The role requires a decade of procurement experience with senior leadership background, strong negotiation skills, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in procurement with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within infrastructure or related services.
• Proven track record of cost savings and operational efficiencies through procurement strategies.
• Experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• CIPS certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and policies to support project objectives.
• Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships for favourable terms.
• Oversee procurement lifecycle from sourcing to payment processing.
• Implement spend analysis, demand forecasting, and risk management practices.
• Monitor procurement metrics and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and legal to integrate procurement in the JV.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and ethical standards.
• Drive cost savings initiatives and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Manage HS2 process and supplier approvals, including nominated/preferred suppliers.
