Durham University is seeking a Senior Head of Communications and Engagement to lead strategic communications across the Global Division and Advancement. You will guide, advise and develop plans to protect and enhance the University’s reputation locally, nationally and internationally.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in large organisations, with a track record in digital and traditional media strategy, stakeholder management and 24/7 on‑call support.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
• Experience as a professional strategic communications practitioner.
• Ability to influence service delivery, events and activities.

Responsabilités

• Lead on integrated strategic communications across digital, social media, media relations and events.
• Advise senior stakeholders and guide cross‑functional teams in a large, high‑profile organisation.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for strategic communications.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call strategic communications support when required.
