Job summary

Lord Search & Selection Ltd seeks a Financial Controller to head the finance function, reporting to the Board in a hands-on role across multiple UK sites.

You will produce timely monthly management accounts with concise commentary, strengthen controls, and drive budgeting, forecasting and cash flow. The role includes presenting information to budget-holders and occasional site travel.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with SME background.
• Hands-on leader capable of managing a five-person finance team.
• Experience improving budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
• Comfortable with multi-site finance management and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely monthly management accounts with commentary for decision-making.
• Lead finance team of five and oversee ledger, credit control and cash/banking activities.
• Improve financial controls and highlight revenue, gross margin and profitability trends.
• Present financial information to budget-holders across sites and departments.
• Occasional travel to operational sites in the UK to explain financial information.
