Job summary

GMCA is seeking two Associate Strategic Growth Managers to join the Delivery Team in Greater Manchester. You will act as relationship managers for local authorities, shaping delivery strategies and coordinating cross‑sector support to unlock housing, regeneration and employment opportunities.

You will help secure funding, assess risks and prepare reports for senior leaders, contributing to growth across the city-region with a focus on Good Growth Fund and related programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting the development and delivery of housing, regeneration and property development projects.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to build trusted relationships and influence a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of development finance, funding and investment.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• A commitment to collaboration, public service and delivering positive outcomes for communities across Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of housing, regeneration and employment development projects across Greater Manchester.
• Build strong working relationships with local authority partners and act as a strategic point of contact for growth projects.
• Help projects access funding, capacity and support, including opportunities through the Good Growth Fund and wider GMCA programmes.
• Support the delivery of Mayoral Development Corporations, Mayoral Development Zones and other innovative delivery vehicles.
• Work with public and private sector partners to identify delivery solutions, manage risks and accelerate project progression.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders and governance boards.
