Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a senior leader to shape risk, assurance and resilience across the group. Reporting to the CFO, you will unify Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Business Continuity, Loss Prevention and Health & Safety into a commercially focused function.

You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, provide independent insight to the Board, embed risk thinking in strategic decisions and drive smarter governance through data, technology and AI.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across risk, compliance, audit, assurance, safety, resilience or related discipline.
• Ability to lead specialists, ask the right questions and exercise sound commercial judgement.
• Credibility with executive teams, boards and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to turn complex risk information into clear choices and actions.
• Pragmatic, commercially focused approach to risk and controls.
• Confidence to challenge constructively while building trusted relationships.
• Experience navigating significant incidents, investigations or sensitive matters.
• Curiosity about how data, technology and AI can transform risk, assurance and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the Group-wide approach to risk, compliance, assurance and resilience.
• Provide clear, independent insight to the Executive Leadership Team, Audit Committee and Board.
• Embed risk thinking into strategic planning and significant business decisions.
• Lead the approach to Health & Safety, business continuity and organisational resilience.
• Develop an intelligence-led approach to Loss Prevention, including shrink, theft and fraud.
• Oversee a risk-based Internal Audit programme focusing on areas that matter most.
• Connect insight across the function to spot emerging issues earlier and address root causes.
• Increase the use of data, technology, automation and AI to strengthen insight and governance.
