Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Group Governance, Risk and Compliance Director to lead risk, compliance, Internal Audit, safety, resilience and loss prevention across the group. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape the function and provide the Board with clear views of major risks.

You'll oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive an intelligent, data-driven approach to governance and embed risk thinking into strategic decisions, with a focus on commercially sound risk management and business

Qualifications

• Senior leader with experience across risk, compliance, audit, assurance, safety or resilience.
• Ability to lead specialists and exercise commercial judgement.
• Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams alongside executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve our Group-wide approach to risk, compliance, assurance and resilience.
• Provide clear, independent insight and advice to the Executive Leadership Team, Audit Committee and Board.
• Embed risk thinking into strategic planning and significant business decisions.
• Lead our approach to Health & Safety, business continuity and organisational resilience.
• Develop a modern, intelligence-led approach to Loss Prevention, including shrink, theft, fraud and other preventable loss.
• Oversee a risk-based Internal Audit programme focused on the areas that matter most.
• Connect insight across the function to spot emerging issues earlier and address underlying causes.
• Increase the use of data, technology, automation and AI to strengthen insight and simplify governance.
