Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Senior Strategy & Governance Officer within the Adults & Health Directorate in Buckinghamshire. The role focuses on shaping strategy, governance and staff engagement across a large directorate, delivering informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Working with senior leaders and partners, you’ll coordinate governance, assess developments, and provide insightful briefs to drive outcomes and positive change for residents.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
• Experience with strategy, governance, engagement or project delivery in a large public sector organisation.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy, governance and business management activities across the directorate.
• Lead staff engagement programmes and coordinate governance activity.
• Research local, regional and national developments and produce briefings for senior leaders.
• Coordinate governance processes, assurance activity and improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to enable collaborative outcomes.
