Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst on a 6 month FTC to lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for Waste & FM services. You will build robust financial models and partner with budget holders to drive commercial decisions.

The role requires advanced Excel, strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders. Onsite location in Bristol with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing financial models for budgeting, forecasting and investment evaluation.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Experience in FP&A role with month-end reporting and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and reforecasts for Waste & FM services with budget holders.
• Review monthly management reporting and variance analysis with actions.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to challenge and advise budgets.
• Translate data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain model governance, documentation and version control.
• Collaborate with Finance, Data & Reporting, Operations and Bristol City Council.
• Monitor performance against forecasts and update models as conditions change.
• Produce modelling outputs including dashboards and investment appraisals.
