Job summary

Recruit4staff represents an established local authority recruiting a Fleet Manager in Mold. Salary ranges from £48,738 to £51,928 per annum, with 37 hours per week and a permanent contract.

The role covers fleet strategy, procurement, contract and workshop management, ensuring compliance and value for money while leading a team and liaising with suppliers and managers to deliver safe, reliable fleet services for local communities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a fleet management function, incl procurement, negotiation, contracting, work programming and leasing.
• Understanding of motor vehicle and plant engineering, incl emerging tech relevant to fleet management.
• Experience and/or knowledge in preparing fleet specifications and procurement parameters.
• Degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Chartered membership of a recognised transport institute.
• Transport Managers CPC in Transport Operations to fulfil professional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet strategy, procurement, contract and workshop management.
• Ensure compliance, operational resilience and value for money.
• Provide leadership and develop a skilled team for fleet operations.
