Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Senior Financial Controls Manager to act as the technical finance expert, safeguarding financial reporting and control frameworks. You will report to the Head of Financial Controls and drive governance, audits, and integration activities across the charity, influencing senior stakeholders and the Board.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in financial accounting, financial controls, audit or statutory reporting.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, financial regulations and governance.
• Experience producing consolidated group accounts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and strengthening the organisation's financial control framework.
• Owning balance sheet integrity and producing monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Leading the preparation and review of statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Coordinating the consolidation of group and subsidiary accounts.
• Managing external audit relationships and ensuring successful audit delivery.
• Overseeing compliance submissions including HMRC, ONS, Gift Aid and other regulatory requirements.
• Leading treasury accounting, liquidity reporting and cash flow forecasting.
• Supporting business acquisitions, mergers and integrations from a finance perspective.
• Driving financial process improvement and reducing manual intervention through smarter controls and systems.
• Translating complex accounting matters into clear, meaningful insights for senior leaders and trustees.
• Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing finance team.
