Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller for an international SME. You will own monthly management accounts and reporting, lead the audit, and enhance controls while partnering with senior leadership to drive growth and system improvements.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to C-suite leadership, and a long-term opportunity to shape the finance function as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting and audit experience
• Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager background
• Experience within an SME or growth business environment
• Confident dealing with senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders
• Hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

• Ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Leading the annual audit process
• Enhancing financial controls, governance and compliance
• Supporting senior stakeholders with financial insight and decision making
• Driving process improvements and systems development
• Supporting future growth initiatives, including potential acquisitions
• Managing and developing a small finance team
