Job summary

Poundland & Dealz is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in the Walsall area with hybrid working. You will partner with the commercial team to turn financial data into actionable insights, challenge assumptions, and support senior leaders with performance targets and strategic goals.

You will embed within supported areas, deliver high-quality analysis, lead budgeting and forecasting, and develop meaningful category-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a large, complex commercial organisation.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into actionable reporting.
• Excellent Excel and Power BI skills; ACCA/CIMA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand business priorities to drive performance insights.
• Partner with senior leaders and operational teams as a trusted finance partner.
• Challenge assumptions constructively and guide decision making.
• Present clear, actionable insights at management meetings.
• Translate complex data into accessible recommendations and actions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Develop category profit and loss reporting and business cases.
• Review post-investment outcomes to improve future decisions.
• Improve the quality and cadence of financial reporting.
