Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is recruiting a Finance Business Partner on a fixed-term contract in Leeds. You will partner with commercial stakeholders and senior leaders to translate financial performance into meaningful insights and drive informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with management accounting experience, strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is required.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experienced management accountant with strong commercial awareness.
• Proficient in communicating with non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Review management accounts and supporting schedules in line with established business policies, procedures and reporting deadlines.
• Deliver core month-end reporting activities and ensure all associated reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage corporate cost recharges and support ad hoc recharge activities as required.
• Prepare and review half-year and year-end financial statements, together with supporting analysis and disclosures.
• Partner with front-line business teams to review costs against budgets and forecasts, providing meaningful challenge and insight.
• Monitor and report on business case performance, reviewing planned versus actual expenditure on an ongoing basis.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, responding to queries and escalating matters where appropriate.
• Maintain and enhance key financial controls, ensuring robust governance and compliance.
• Business partner with Corporate Core leadership teams, providing analysis and insight on monthly financial results.
