Job summary

WPP is seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner for the HQ Finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract in London. You will partner with Finance and People leaders to deliver meaningful financial insight, robust reporting and informed decision support.

You’ll analyse performance, challenge stakeholders and support budgeting and forecasting across corporate functions. Drive efficiency and transformation initiatives in a complex global organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with Finance Business Partnering experience in a complex, international organisation.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Confidently partnering with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with ERP systems and data visualisation tools.
• Excellent organisational and execution skills with multi-priority delivery.
• Comfortable working across large, diverse teams and geographies.
• Proactive and improvement-focused, identifying automation possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial insight and analysis, track performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Lead budget and forecast development for key corporate functions.
• Own month-end reporting including variance analysis and risk assessment.
• Support journal preparation and posting during month-end close.
• Maintain integrity of budget/forecast data across financial systems.
• Support business cases, cost-saving initiatives and transformation programmes.
• Analyse cost drivers and identify efficiencies contributing to targets.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Controllership, Tax and other Finance teams for aligned reporting.
• Manage calculations underpinning the Finance and People recharge process.
