Job summary

Reactive Markets in London offers a hybrid Finance Manager role focused on owning the finance function's operations as we scale. You will ensure accurate management accounts, statutory oversight, and robust controls, guiding decisions with strong financial analytics.

You will run month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow, VAT returns, and manage AR/AP, payroll, HMRC processes, while coordinating with auditors, solicitors, and bankers as needed across multi-entity structures.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Several years' experience in a small business finance function, owning month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience managing a junior team member or members.
• Experience running multiple business entities — parent and subsidiaries, including regulated entities across geographies.
• Independent ownership of the year-end audit process.
• Xero or similar is desirable but not essential when adaptable to systems.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and reporting to leadership, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Balance sheet management, cash flow forecasting, and quarterly VAT return ownership.
• Statutory accounts and year-end audit oversight and collaboration.
• Lead AR & AP team, setting objectives and developing capability.
• Multi-entity accounting across parent and subsidiary entities.
• Maintain and improve finance systems and processes for efficiency.
• Provide financial modelling and risk analysis to support decision-making.
