Job summary

Osborne Appointments is recruiting a Head of Finance for an SME in Letchworth Garden City. You will lead the finance function, shape strategy and drive financial planning and performance across the business.

Based in a growth-focused environment, you will work with the MD and Senior Leadership Team to deliver robust financial insights, forecasting and governance, while developing the finance team and systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong financial leadership experience.
• Experience in growing SME environments.
• Proven ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and small team.
• Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasting.
• Develop annual budgets and long-term projections.
• Provide financial insight to MD and SLT.
• Support decision-making with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Maintain control of profitability, cash flow and working capital.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and ROI.
• Analyse new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
• Develop management reporting and board dashboards.
• Ensure robust controls, governance and audit readiness.
• Maximise use of Xero and continually improve systems.
