Mark Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a PE-backed industrial business in the South East of England to appoint a Finance Director. This role leads the finance function, supports strategic objectives, and works with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, reporting and controls.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record in Industrial Services or Manufacturing, combining technical finance with commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) with board-ready finance experience.
• Experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or similar in Industrial Services or Manufacturing.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting and controls background.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and audit.
• Hands-on finance with cost control, inventory management and working capital.
• Ability to translate data into commercial actions and present clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis and reporting.
• Lead statutory compliance, governance and annual audits.
• Drive financial process improvements across systems and controls.
• Provide financial insight to support commercial operational decisions.
• Lead the finance team and deliver robust financial reporting.
