Job summary

Sharp is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join the UK senior leadership team. You will blend financial stewardship with strategic insight to drive profitability, growth, and performance across the organisation.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a high‑performing finance function, deliver robust financial controls, and shape business plans while partnering with business leaders to drive value and transformation across the group.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Senior finance leadership experience in a complex corporate or multinational environment.
• Demonstrable ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape strategy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with ability to lead change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team with accountability and commercial focus.
• Oversee management accounts, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Drive profitability analysis across customers, contracts, products and services.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business case development across the organisation.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and performance.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and audit readiness.
• Lead finance transformation including ERP optimisation and data governance improvements.
• Manage working capital and contribute to enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Deputise for the CFO and provide leadership across the Finance function.
